Questions from Vedas

Answering the cards on the Queries step.

Why does Vedas ask me questions?

When something isn't clear from the documents, Vedas asks you rather than guess. A question can be about a line's category, a missing document, a year-end adjustment or a client setting.

How do I answer a question?

  1. Open the job and go to the Queries step. The number beside it counts the open questions.
  2. Read the card. It may show a suggested answer, and the pages or lines it's about.
  3. Fill in the answer and press "Save answer". The job carries on. When you answer the last question, the page moves you on to Unlock.

Can I skip a question?

Yes, if the job doesn't need it answered. Type why it can be waived and press "Waive". Some questions change a figure; those need an answer.

The job needs more than the usual allowance

A very large or messy job can use up its usual working allowance. It pauses with a question. Only a Partner or Admin can answer it, with "Allow more and carry on". Work already done is kept.
