Packs and outputs

While a job is locked you see its progress, its questions and the lines read from the documents. The figures, the pack and the agent's judgement calls stay on our server until you unlock the job. The Unlock step says how many judgement calls wait for you.

When the job shows "Ready to unlock", press "Unlock" at the top of the job page, or go to the Unlock step and press "Unlock the result". The page then opens the Judgement calls step. Unlocking takes the job's credits from your balance before the judgement calls show, and isn't refunded: you check the work yourself. With a free trial on, your firm's first job of each type unlocks free.

A workbook with the workings, a summary, the questions and answers, and the outputs for the job type: the VAT boxes as a CSV, the accounts statements, the MTD figures or the tax computation. A VAT pack also has a draft email to your client when they have questions to answer.

The VAT workbook has a tab for each box, Box 1 to Box 9, listing the items that make up the box with a total that ties to the return, and a Bank transactions tab with every row from the bank statements and how Vedas treated it.

Go to the Output step and press "Download pack (.zip)". Each file is also listed on its own. Earlier versions are under "Earlier versions".

Vedas works the figures out again and makes a new version of the pack. Earlier versions stay listed on the Output step.

When you mark a job final, the agent drafts what to remember for the client, such as how a payee is coded or a note from your answers. They show on the Output step under "Remember for next time?", with how many wait. Tick what to keep and press "Approve ticked", or "Decline the rest". To change a note's words, open the Memory page. This is how the agent learns your client.

Yes. "Cancel job" stops it. A job you haven't unlocked costs nothing to cancel. Archiving takes a job off the dashboard and keeps it.
